James Chang, LAc:
James Chang, L. Ac. has been a California Licensed Acupuncturist since 1997. He received his formal acupuncture training in HangZhou, China. He has a B.S. degree in Biophysics from the University of California, San Diego and a diploma of Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture and TuiNa from Zhejiang College of TCM (now known as Zhejiang Chinese Medical University). It was also there in HangZhou, China, that James studied ChiGong under Master Mei Hong. After completing his studies in China, James returned back to California and has been practicing acupuncture here ever since.
I enjoy nature and I love all beings. Here is a story from my early twenties before studying acupuncture. I had already began studying chigong when I was in highschool, but I can not say I was any good in those years. During my college years, my mother had a dog that was vomiting anything it ate for days. It was getting thinner by the day, and I was worried about it. It hurt me to see it suffer so much, so I decided to lay my hands on it’s stomach. I did so for about 15 minutes. The dog was then able to eat and made a full recovery. This incident motivated me towards natural health care.
On a personal level: I believe in the principles of being forgiving, being loving & compassionate, being of service to others and being happy. In my spare time, I like to garden. I also practices Chigong and meditation daily.
